Steve's Video
Here's the video Steve made at our 12 week 7 day visit. At this point, the heartbeat was a good and healthy 161 beats per minute.
15 Weeks, 1 Day
Finally feeling better now. My bouts of nausea/dry heaving/vomiting began to subside about a week ago, and I feel great now. There are the super-random times when out of nowhere, I'll need to rush to the bathroom to retch a little bit, but those times are few and far between. I still can't stand the smell of chicken, and I haven't been able to eat much of it. The only big problem is that I have no appetite. I get hungry, but I don't want to eat anything. When I do get food, I can only eat a few bites and I get full. I understand that it all has to do with the changes my body is going through, but it's frustrating because I need these nutrients for the baby.
Speaking of bodily changes, wow! I get winded easily (because the carbon dioxide level in my blood has decreased in order to make it easier to transfer more carbon dioxide from the baby to me), and I have been more tired than usual. I've been really sleepy, and my body has been getting sore by the end of the day. Also, my digestive system has slowed a significant amount--hence the whole not being able to eat much. We get to find out the sex in less than two weeks!! I can't wait to a) find out what we are having, and b) seeing our growing child :)

Finally!
I can share the news I wasn't sharing before.
I'm going to be a MOM!!!
I am 13 weeks, 4 days pregnant. We are over-the-moon excited, and look forward to each doctor's appointment.
I have had morning sickness for the past two months straight, and it is finally starting to get better. I haven't had to vomit very often, but it has all been nausea and dry heaving. I can't stand the smell of fried chicken, and other random smells will set off another gagging episode. As long as it means the baby is okay, I am fine with it. But that's not to say I'm not happy it's starting to subside! I definitely hope to post more frequently, since it'll be a great way to keep everyone updated on my health, the baby's health, pictures, and videos. We get to find out the sex at our next appointment in three weeks!
